With the rapid development of the automobile industry, the use of automobile gearbox bearings is more and more extensive, and the axial clearance requirements of automobile cylindrical roller bearings are also higher and higher. There are no specific requirements for the axial clearance of ordinary cylindrical roller bearings, and they are not tested. They are only guaranteed by the width of the raceway. However, the axial clearance of automobile cylindrical roller bearings has an impact on the starting and energy consumption of automobiles, and also has an impact on the service life of bearings. Therefore, automobile cylindrical roller bearings put forward specific requirements for axial clearance.
At present, there are no specific detection methods and requirements for the axial clearance of cylindrical bearings. Generally, the outer ring of bearings is fixed. The inspectors press the end face of the outer ring with their thumbs, lift the inner ring with other fingers to determine by feeling, or use a feeler gauge to detect. Practice has proved that the error of this method is too large. One of the reasons is that this method is non indication detection. Different inspectors have different methods, and the detection accuracy is far from each other; The second reason is that the radial clearance also interferes with the accuracy of the detection of the axial clearance.
A simple detection device with indication value for axial clearance of cylindrical roller bearing is introduced below to replace the traditional feeler gauge without indication value detection method. The boss size of the upper support body 3 and the lower support body 2 is the same as that of the tested bearing (inner ring inner hole size, with a certain clearance reserved for positioning when testing the bearing); the outer circle size of the upper support body 3 and the lower support body 2 is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the tested bearing inner ring; the outer circle size of the support base 1 is the same as that of the outer ring outer diameter of the tested bearing 6, and the inner circle size is larger than that of the outer ring inner hole of the tested bearing.
When detecting the axial clearance, first put a set of measured bearings on the lower support body 2, install the screws on the upper support body 3 into the threaded holes on the lower support body, tighten them and put them on the support base 1, put them on the G903 or g904 instrument together, install the dial indicator 5 on the G903 or g904 gauge frame 4, align the gauge tip with the center of the upper support body 3, adjust the height of the gauge frame, so that the gauge tip contacts the appropriate position, Use your thumbs to press the outer ring end face of the bearing 6 from the hollow of the support base, and the rest of your fingers to lift the lower support 2 from bottom to top. The value displayed by the dial indicator is the axial clearance value of the detected bearing 6.
The use of this device has changed the previous method of measuring the axial clearance of automobile cylindrical roller bearings without indication, replaced the traditional feeler gauge and other non indication detection methods, and made the axial clearance of cylindrical roller bearings measured with value.
The simple detection device for axial clearance of cylindrical roller bearings has good stability, accurate and convenient detection. For single row cylindrical roller bearings, especially cylindrical roller bearings with flat retaining rings, the axial clearance can be accurately detected without being affected by radial clearance. The device is simple in structure, convenient in use, accurate in detection, can read out the detection results accurately, is simple and easy to operate, improves the detection accuracy of axial clearance of automobile bearings, and improves production efficiency.
